Nebraska 150 for Break the Cycle
Children are caught in a cycle of limited access to care, delayed treatment, and worsening illnesses. From August to October, Dr. Andrés Martin will cycle from Washington State to Washington, DC, leading a ride to raise awareness of the challenges faced by children and adolescents with mental illnesses. Dr. Martin is heading to Nebraska for a kickoff event to help him prepare for his cross-country bike ride!
Support our two-day Break the Cycle event in Omaha, July 29-30, as we bike 150 miles to coincide with the Nebraska Sesquicentennial. Rather than a typical bike ride where community members ride, we are going to have a small group of community leaders ride, such as government representatives, local health care leaders, mental health representatives, etc., to demonstrate their support for pediatric mental health.
Your donation will:
(1) fund innovative research initiatives
(2) increase the number of child and adolescent psychiatrists
(3) help ensure that children suffering in silence or facing stigma get the treatment they need
