Event Information & Schedule


  This annual event is fun for the whole family – with activities for adults, kids and pets! It's the only day of the year that you can bring your pet down to beautiful William Hawrelak Park. Join us for the fun, all while helping homeless and abused companion animals at the Edmonton Humane Society!

Event Information 

What is there to see and do at Pets in the Park?
Lots! It's an action-packed, non-stop adventure!
 
Consider registering for the Petsecure Pet Health Insurance 2.5 km Walk or the Tail Blazers 5 km Fun Run! Click here to register now! Collecting pledges and participating in the walk or run is great way to have fun and support the thousands of animals cared for by the Edmonton Humane Society each year.


  

 Have your pet microchipped at the EIDAP identification tent for just $40. Ensure that your pet has permanent identification and gets home safely while supporting homeless animals at the same time.

The whole family can join in the fun and activity in the Humane Education tent, sponsored by Pet Planet. Kids will especially enjoy the games, crafts, contests and face-painting!

Learn more about pet behavior and training with the EHS Behavior and Training departments, sponsored by the City of Edmonton’s Animal Care and Control Centre.

Test your dog's skills in the Canine Carnival, sponsored by Petland Canada. Try out games like Tennis Ball Turmoil, Bobbing for Dogs, Musical Mutts or Hunting Hounds. Games are $2 each or 3 games for $5.

Watch the incredible skills of working dogs in the Sheep Herding demonstration, sponsored by Big Top Tent Rentals. 

Cheer on the Edmonton Humane Society's Shelter Stars during their exciting performances in the agility arena, sponsored by Pet-Tek Distribution.  Let your dog test his or her paws on the agility equipment during public participation for just $5.

Experience the high flyin' fun of the Alberta Red Neck Furry Fliers disc dog demonstrations, sponsored by PetSmart. See if your dog has what it takes to become a disc dog during public participation. $10 gets you two rounds of toss and fetch and one round of time trial!

New in 2013 – Check out the Alberta Lure Coursing Association’s exciting demonstrations sponsored by Pet Valu.  This action-packed sport showcases the grace and agility of sighthounds in pursuit.  Let your dog try it out for $5. 

Meet and greet some Edmonton Humane Society animals in the Shelter Animal Showcase at the EHS Animal Rescue & Response vehicles.  Visit with the Edmonton Humane Society Animal Protection Department, and learn more about the shelter in the Edmonton Humane Society tent.



Shop till you drop in Bingo's Pet Shop, Sponsor's Row and the Exhibitor Showcase! And you can't miss the MASSIVE Silent Auction with hundreds of items up for bid!

The Pet and People First Aid station, sponsored by Guardian Veterinary Centre will be standing by during our Pets in the Park adventures, ensuring that any injuries that may occur are quickly treated.

Visit the Mojo photo booth and remember Pets in the Park forever with a $5 photo.

After all of that activity, you'll need some refreshments! Visit the Silver Birch Hotels & Resorts Barbeque tent, or quench your thirst with Starbucks. Cool off with a beverage in the Yukon Brewery Beer Tent! All proceeds from our Food Sponsor areas support the Edmonton Humane Society. Food vendors Molly's Eats and Royal Treats are donating a portion of their proceeds as well!
